Alexander CRAWFORD Obituary

CRAWFORD, Alexander Ferguson (Fergus). Fergus left us suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday 5 May 2024. Loving husband of 52 years to Sara. Loving father of Andrew, Hamish and Angus, father in law of Amy and Katie and grandfather of Finn, Theo, Callum and Isabelle. In lieu of flowers donations to the Dementia Auckland da.org.nz would be greatly appreciated. The funeral service will be held in the Main Chapel of the Morrison Funeral Home, 220 Universal Drive, Henderson on Monday 13 May 2024 at 10.00 am.

To Sara & your family
We were so sad to hear the news of Fergus´s passing, we hope that you can get comfort from all the wonderful memories you all have, of your lives together.
We all remember quite clearly attending your wedding in the big marquee, quite a thing in those days!!
Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time.

In memory of Fergus; kind, constant Aussie/ Scots bloke and husband to my dear cousin Sara, who whisked Sara away in a horse and carriage from their wedding in Windsor, England, 52 years ago and began a lifetime of happiness with her and all of their family. Whoever said Aussie men are not romantic?
I am privileged to have been present on that special day so long ago.
Fergus, I will always miss your big hugs and warm, welcoming smiles. You were a true gentleman. Rest in peace.
