Sincere sympathy to all family and friends.I knew Albie from the 1950s through a fantastic relationship and rivalry between Maungaturoto and Ruawai on the local sports fields. What a wonderful involvement he subsequently had with the Otamatea community endorsed this year when he was nominated by Ryman Healthcare as a NZ person-of-the-year. Thanks for the memories mate...

We were only talking about Albie, the other day. When we came to maungaturoto 28 years ago, Albie was one of the first to welcome us, always had a smile and a laugh. Helped out everyone, with lovely Marg at his side. What an honour to have been a friend of Albie
RIP Albie, a massive loss for Maungaturoro
Thinking of you all x
