Alby I will never forget working away chopping down some trees on your hill with a hand saw, only for you to come along after a while with your chain saw and sort them! It was awesome how proud you were of your ute and your beloved "Camper". Your positivity and love for life is something I will carry with me always. Alby, my surrogate grandfather, Thank you for all the laughs, the smiles and most importantly the incredible advice and wisdom you shared with me over the treasured years I spent as your neighbour. I would also like to thank you for being the first one to sample my many failed attempts of baking, no matter how burnt, undercooked or inedible my attempts were they were always "marvellous" to you.

We are very sad to hear of Alby´s passing and our sympathies go out to all the family. Ken has many fond memories of him from an early age including numerous parties held at Aunty Jean´s and Uncle Andy´s in Edgar St. We were so blessed to spend time with Alby and Annie in Thames late September and will treasure those moments forever. Alby will be greatly missed.

I was so sad to hear of your passing. Myself, Kahny, Ruby, and in later years Aria loved our School holidays where we came over to you and Anne to show our latest rocks and other purchases. You were always so inviting and happy to see us. It was only a few weeks ago we delivered get well cards to you. We will all miss your smiling face and the warmth you showed each of us. We will treasure our rocks you gave us. I am sorry I can't be at your service tomorrow, but we will always remember, we thought of you like our other grandparent, rest in love, Finn

Alby, you were so loved and adored by my 3 children; Bree, Korban and Fletcher, a real surrogate Grandfather. Always a bottle of fizz in the fridge for them, a cheeky grin, so much wisdom and kindness bestowed on them. We loved seeing the way your beloved Annie made your eyes light up.
