Extremely nice personality, I fell that I am very lucky to know Alastair and spent part of my life while I was receiving enormous energy observing his unique simile, thanks God. He taught me some valuable principles that are more important than statistics in life.
God Bless him

Super nice person and wonderfully creative researcher in the field of statistics, especially survey sampling and biostatistics. I met him at a small conference in Nebraska and saw him from time to time after that. Rest in peace, Alastair.
