I am so proud to have been your grandaughter and will forever and always love you. I will always think of the times I stayed with you and Nana over the school holidays all those memories will be in my heart. You make me smile and the memories I have of bugging you while the cricket was on (like all grand kids do haha) I will carry on to my children. I love you Granddad/Uncle Alan. Fly high and be happy now with Nana. I will see you again one day. Love you from Ratbag

Grand dad... you and me had that thing where you would tell me a secret and make me promise to keep it.. you told me something one day that I have kept to myself for over 20 years. I keep that secret still and it still makes me smile. You will be sorely missed. I'm sorry I didn't see you the last time I came to NZ but I know that you know I love you. Fly free from pain with nana. You will always be my fav grumpy grad dad...aka uncle Alan. Love you forever xoxox

You may not have been my biological Dad
