Alan SAYERS Obituary

SAYERS, Alan John MNZM. RNZN # 1/15/2685 WWII After 102 years the most venerable member of our family has finally crossed the finish line. Passing away peacefully at home on Saturday 19 August 2017 in the company of loved ones. Very much loved husband of June, outstanding father of Greg and Christina and cherished grandfather of, and hero to, Amalia and Reuben. Brother of Margaret and Ailsa and the late Horace. Honouring Alan's wishes, a private blessing and cremation have been held and a celebration of his life will take place on the Arkles Bay waterfront on Friday 15 September at 2pm. Remembered always as a community champion and a family man who has left us a priceless legacy.

Will be sadly missed, so glad i came around and had a chat with you not so long ago and your yachting collection brought back lots of memories will be sadly missed June, Greg, Tina you have left behind a wonderful family who shared the same passion in life as you did, rest in peace Alan. Very passionate man who loved not only yachting but all sports and was always very helpful to me in yachting and had a wonderful family who were always polite and well mannered and who had true positive values in life. Rest in peace Mr Sayers and i hope they do a memorial photo of you at the Manly Sailing Club.
