Alan McDonald Obituary

McDONALD, Alan William (Sailor). J.P. NZ Merchant Navy. On Saturday 23 April, 2011 at Dunedin Hospital ICU, after a courageous battle; aged 67 years. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Jayne and Glenn Macfarlane (Christchurch), Paul McDonald and his partner Zoya (Stockholm, Sweden), doting and cherished grandad of Hannah, and Abby Macfarlane; Caitlin, and Nikki McDonald. Dearly loved younger brother and brother- in-law of Margaret and Ken Bowen, Josie and the late Geoff Bodger, Eileen Cowley, and a loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews and their families. A service to celebrate Alan's life will be held on Saturday 30 April at 3pm in the United Services Club, Corner Prince Albert and Bayview Road, South Dunedin, followed by a private cremation.
