Alan CLARK Obituary

CLARK, Alan (Leslie Alan). Died peacefully on 21 September 2017 in his 87th year. Eldest son of Doris and Les and cherished brother of Glennis (Wellington). Loved and respected father and father-in-law of Mark and Michelle, Jamie and Jane and John. Adored grandfather of David, Sam, Hannah, Jamie, Ruby- Jean, Sullivan, Tasman, MacAllister and Hunter. May he rest in peace Our gratitude to the nursing and care staff at Eastcliffe Retirement Village for their dedication and wonderful care. A service to celebrate Alan's life will be held at the All Saints Chapel, Purewa, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank on Tuesday 26 September at 12pm. Fondest memories from cricket days in Dunedin about 1958-9.Then remarkable hospitality and fun times from 1963-4 around Cornwall Cricket[and at home with the dear Eve and youngsters] , from 1963.From there to hectic meetings in Sydney ,then London , and back in Auckland since 1974.
Regular lunches with Wellington cricket cronies , until Alan could bat no more .very sorry was away when The Umpire gave him out--all condolences to Jamie-Jane, John, and mark-Michelle and families.

I'm sorry for your loss. I found comfort at John 6:40 which says that soon we will see all our loved ones again.
