Alan BLAKEY Obituary

BLAKEY, Alan Max. Alan passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday 15 March 2025. Much loved husband of 63 wonderful years to Carolyn. Adored father of Brent, Tanya and Stephen. Loving father- in-law to Jane. Devoted grandfather to five beautiful girls, Eden, Maya, Olivia, Brooke and Ellie. A special thanks to the incredible staff at St Andrews Village for their care and support over the years. Alan will be forever in our hearts. A private cremation will be held with immediate family members, shortly to be followed by a memorial service.

It is with heavy hearts that we record the sad passing of our dear cousin Alan Blakey. Our condolences to his family from Philip, Keith, Peter Herbert and families. Alan will be sadly missed.

Good memories of better times. The timber industry of yesteryear was a unique environment in which rivals were fiends. Alan played a prominent role in the Auckland timber scene, he was liked and respected all who had dealings with him. It was a privilege to have known him.
