Alan BLAKEY Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we record the sad passing of our dear cousin Alan Blakey. Our condolences to his family from Philip, Keith, Peter Herbert and families. Alan will be sadly missed.

Good memories of better times. The timber industry of yesteryear was a unique environment in which rivals were fiends. Alan played a prominent role in the Auckland timber scene, he was liked and respected all who had dealings with him. It was a privilege to have known him.

Dear AB, the memories of my time at Julius Herman flood my mind. A kind, generous, funny man. The best of bosses. He has had a good long retirement enjoyinghis family life. I am privileged to have known him. My condolences to Caro, Brent, Tanya and Stephen xxx
