Alan BEALE Obituary

BEALE, Alan Richard. Passed away suddenly 1st September. Highly regarded and respected member of Protective Paints Ltd for 27 years. His wisdom and knowledge of all things involved in the manufacture of paint and coatings was legendary. Long time friend and neighbour of Anne Peacock for 28 years. A kind and gentle person who was more than happy to talk with staff, reps, customers and suppliers to help in any way. "Talk to Mr Beale" was our mantra. He always had the answers. Secret "snack giver "to the resident four legged hairy ones who loved him to bits. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A service for Alan will be held at the Papatoetoe Funeral Cottage, 34 Kolmar Rd, Papatoetoe at 11am on Saturday 13th September.

I worked with Alan back in mid 90's at Levene Paint Manufacturing Limited. His favourite response i remember was "Yeah". Was sad to find out of his sudden passing today. His knowledge on paint and coatings was legendary and I often went to him for advice as I stated my career as coatings chemist at Levene Paint Manufacturing. Ransi D and I would often try get him to laugh with our banter. Occasionally we succeeded. When I visited Protective Paints in later years to work on tolling projects I always made time to catch up with Alan and talk about things.
I will always remember Alan for being, fair, kind and humble, honest and genuine person. Rest in Peace Alan.

Heard this very sad news today. Alan was more than a customer, after 30years I considered him a friend. He was one of the kindest, most helpful and most knowledgeable people it has been my privilege to know. Very much regret it is now too late for me to get to Auckland for the funeral. All my best to the staff at Protective Paints and others fortunate enough to have known the great Mr Beale. RIP.

Alan -a man of careful and thoughtful consideration. Always fair and accommodating to us reps. Rest in peace Alan and my thoughts with his 'family' at Protective Paints
Apologies though on my attendance at the service as I will unfortunately be away

Alan was always willing to spend time explaining to those less knowledgeable of the coatings industry. Will be missed by all who knew him. Condolences to Rose and the rest of the PP team. Regards Paul Armistead, supplier and friend
