Sid, we have had 65 plus years of music, bands, friendship and families. So many memories, so many of your jokes, so much fun .... and so many Capstan Corks .... left on the piano!

Thinking of you all at this sad time. George was my boss at the BNZ in Waitara in the 1960´s and 1970´s.
Loved working with him he was a great mentor and as a staff we
had so much fun. David and I have remained friends and had some great times over the years.
We will miss George but the memories we have will remain with us forever.

I have some good memories of George from the time we boarded together in Patea during the 60's. Many a good evening at the Patea Golf Club with George on the piano with all the "stayers"gathered around singing.
On the last day of 6 o'çlock closing, four of us did a pub crawl around the mountain & George was our sober driver.
I have always remembered the first thing George did when he woke in the morning was to reach for his packet of Capstan Cork & have a smoke, before his feet even touched the floor.
My condolences to the family, Rest in Peace George.
