Wonderful man. A passion for excellence in building. An expert teacher and asset to the construction industry. A good person who loved where he grew up. Easy to listen to and have conversation with. Loved Maureen and their family. Special partner of Kaye for many years.
Fondly remembered,

Phil was the man who got me a start in the building industry. He was a great influence on my career along with many other apprentices in Gisborne he has taught.
