I met Peter a few times in my life when I visited Auckland. Always really enjoyed his company and talks. There was an enormous Avocado tree in the back garden, and he talked fondly of the house he lived in. Missed those chats over the years and thought of him today. I completely lost track with his son Keith who I knew from days in London. He made the best bicycle wheels in the city. Much respect.

Peter will long be remembered by the Target Road School community. He was a wise, compassionate man and I remember fondly my time working with him. What a rascal he could be but always in great fun. My thoughts are with his family at this time of sadness.

I was fortunate to make contact with Peter and family just a year ago, just before he died, who's memories helped me untangle some of the Cranswick family trees. My belated condolences
