Remembering Sheila with respect and admiration whilst sharing Collegiate days at James Cook University; and later through visits, correspondence and telephone calls a valued friendship continued.

I met Sheila in 1969 at Catholic Mission Wewak.Sheila was older and wiser than me helped me to settle in to the place. We had many discussions - she had the Lucy Psychiatrist cartoon on her desk - I always paid my 5c.
A generous person and a good friend.

Sheila was Deputy Principal at St Raphael´s College in Townsville when I came to live there in 1988. I´ve stayed in touch over the years and have many fond memories of her. I´ll miss our conversations about social justice, politics, society, community and life in general. Shiela was patient, resilient, and warm. She provided a safe and homely environment for young women to continue their education and continued to stay in touch with thoughtfulness and kindness to many of those women as we moved through life´s many challenges and joys. I will miss her wisdom and her good humour. With much love and thanks.
