Very sorry to hear of Robert's passing. I have left it too late, I suspect, to track down any Gunner who might have known Andrew (Andy) McFarlane KIA 01 Dec 1941.... A long story here, but his sister, Myrtle, was (in her 100th Year) moved to see a photograph of her brother's grave (Knightsbridge, Libya) courtesy of the NZ War Graves project. If any Gunner from Andy's regiment reads this, please get in touch. And, Robert, thank you for your service.

Very sorry to hear about Mr Coomber (as we called him). He was a patient of mine and after I got to know him, my wife and I used to cook meals for him and every year for the past four, we would make him a special dinner at Christmas. A very special, resilient man who touched our hearts.
