Hi Wendy. Sorry to see Lou had died - good innings though. I was unable to get to Taihape for his funeral due to family commitments. I doubt if you remember me - Chris Knight - but I worked on Ohine for a while in the early 1960's. Lou gave me my first job on a station after I came out from England. I have happy memories of that time.
Cheers - Chris

For Uncle Lou - you told me so many things about my family - you gave me a sense of family even though you were Dad's cousin - I don't know once removed - but I valued that - the things you told about family

Dear Wendy and family - I have such fond memories of Uncle Lou - he shared so much about the Gollan family with me. I remember the one time I visited the home farm with Mum and Dad and he showed all his fleeces from his sheep he was so proud plus there was such a Scottish influence in the home - and he talked about my great grand mother. I really value those family memories and I know you have so much more. Love to all your family, Catherine Harris (London)
