Sorry to hear about Joy's passing. I didn't know until now. I usually get a Christmas card from John & Joy each year and when I didn't get one I tried to locate them, but didn't receive a reply. They were both wonderful people. I never got the chance to meet Joy only through post cards and letters. I am sorry to hear this.

Dear Carina & family, so sorry I could not be at the funeral of your lovely Mum. Thinking of you all with love and condolences. Your Mum was a big part of my life while we were growing up, and I always enjoyed seeing her out and about with you and Alex. She was a lovely lady. Thinking of John also who will be missing his lovely wife. Much love to you all. Gaylee & Matthew McCook

Dear Auntie Joy,What can i say except, i will miss you so much. You were in my life for 55yrs (since i was 6mths old). I have some lovely memories,of my life growing up visiting and staying in your your household, from skidding around on old jumpers polishing the kitchen floor while you listened to the radio serial DR Paul having a cuppa then as a teen and into my 30's going to the Stella Maris every Sunday with you, then 7yrs ago i started having coffee with you 2-3 times aweek and now it has come to an end.
Seen and not forgotten is Auntie Joy!!!
Luv you Always Denise xxx

We at the Mission to Seafarers Auckland have fond memories of Joy at the Auckland Seafarers Centre on Quay Street. Joy was one of the original Stellar Maris ladies who came from their Fort Street premises to join with the MtoS in 1982. May she rest in Peace. Chris Barradale

Dear Joy, you will be missed by your lovely family. We met you when we were young, and have often seen each other over the years and had a little chat. You always had a
cherry smile and something interesting to
share, and I remember your kind words at our Mums passing. Thinking of you. Condolences to your family. Sandra Courtier (nee McCook)
