Geoffrey AMOS Obituary

AMOS, Geoffrey Allan Lindsay. Passed away on 12 April 2019, aged 77 years at Auckland City Hospital. Loved husband of Jeosephine, respected father and father- in-law of Greg and Deb and Rebecca and James, grandfather of Greer, Briar, Lily and Harrison and brother of John and Susan. In keeping with Geoffrey's wishes a private cremation has been held. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (Dinghy Locker), 181 Westhaven Dr, Westhaven Marina on Sunday 28 April at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Geoffrey's name to The Rotary Club of Taveuni Island, Fiji. (RNZWCS Westpac account 03 1702 0192208 02 Ref RC Taveuni RIP Geoffrey). I will be forever missing my friend and Taveuni neighbor. A wonderful man with a huge Fijian heart that gave so much to our island of Taveuni.

My most sincere condolences. For 25 years Geoffrey and I have been neighbors & good friends and my heart weeps for the loss all of us on Taveuni feel. I have so many wonderful memories of Geoffrey and will cherish them forever. A VERY special person, giving,dedicated to helping others, and never asking for personal glory. Rest in peace my friend.

The members of the Rotary Club of Taveuni Island, Fiji, mourn the passing of their esteemed charter member, Paul Harris fellow and Past President Geoffrey Amos. Geoffrey's influence and tireless work for the Taveuni community was legendary. The club extends its sincere condolences to Joey and the Amos family. RIP Geoffrey.
