COSTELLO, John Bernard (Cos). Passed away at Middlemore Hospital on Friday the 21st of December 2018; aged 81 years. Loved husband of Maryann for 60 years. Treasured dad and poppy to his 6 children, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. "Now reporting to his new Editor" A celebration of his life will be held at St Mary's Parish, 52 East Street, Papakura on Monday the 24th of December at 11:00am, followed by interment at the Papakura South Cemetery. For those wishing to say a personal goodbye to John, there will be visitation from 9:00-10:00am on the morning of the funeral at Fountains Funeral Directors, 35 Wood Street Papakura. COSTELLO, John Bernard. Born June 1, 1937. Passed away on December 21, 2018. Adored grandfather to Caity and Mitchell and cherished father to Casey. You were the storyteller, the spellcheck, encyclopedia, peacemaker, and confidante to each of us. Never judging, always loving, teaching, inspiring, and supporting. You will be there in every pun we hear, every joke that runs too long and every spelling error we make. Go with God our wonderful Poppy.
